FOUND.LOST.FOUND

RO (english below):

Found.Lost.

Found.Lost.

EN:

Found.Lost.Found rediscovers Romania's cultural and storytelling heritage through an immersive installation of contemporary jewelry by designers David Sandu, Ioana Ardelean, Adelina Petcan, Otilia Mihalcea, Diana Tobosaru, Ludmila Buga and Andreia Popescu and video projections signed by Black Horse Mansion. As a creative homage to a great, yet forgotten tradition, the exhibition revisits the lost craftsmanship of the ancien artisans of Dacia.

The exhibition is a representation of the cycle of integration of ancient treasure into the succeeding generations. The treasure is not a just a collection of ancient objects unearthed and displayed in a museum, but a living organism that has always been a part of the cultural and collective memory of a nation. Present from legends to myths, folclore and bedtime stories, the treasure is circulated and assimilated by societies in their collective, artistic and also personal lives.

Found.Lost.Found, was first exhibited as part of International Fashion Showcase – Fashion Utopias during London Fashion Week 2016, in collaboration with the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, being presented afterwards at The Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest, Romanian Design Week, Eurocultura Festival - Bozar Bruxelles and Designblok - Prague Design and Fashion Week.
